Pick #1: Malik Nabers – New York Giants – More than 68.5 Receiving Yards

Let’s not sugarcoat this: Malik Nabers is upset. He has voiced his displeasure this week with the lack of targets early in games, and Brian Daboll responded, “I’ve gotta do a better job getting the ball in his hands early.” I would expect that on a nationally televised Thanksgiving Day game versus the rival Dallas Cowboys, the Giants do everything they can to get their first-round pick involved early and often.

With Daniel Jones gone and Tommy DeVito banged up, it looks like it’ll finally be time for Drew Lock to take over behind center for the G-Men. Say what you want about Lock, but his throwing ability isn’t the thing holding him back. In fact, his presence may actually benefit Nabers. This is one of the best matchups on the board for Nabers, as he roasted the Cowboys in their prior meeting this season, hauling in 12 passes for 115 yards. It seems reasonable to expect another double-digit target game for Nabers in this one, and that should be more than he needs to cruise past 69 yards receiving.

Pick #2: Jahmyr Gibbs – Detroit Lions – More than 73.5 Rushing Yards

We saw David Montgomery suffer an ankle injury last week, leading to a “Q” tag on him heading into this Thanksgiving Day matchup. Given the short week and Montgomery potentially limited to some degree (perhaps significantly), Gibbs should see the lion’s share (pun intended) of the work in the backfield against the Chicago Bears. In five games at Ford Field this season, Gibbs owns a very healthy 6.6 yards per carry, averaging 80 rushing yards per game in the process.

Gibbs saw a season-high 21 carries last week in Indy, and even with a fully health Montgomery splitting the carries with him, he’s already topped 74+ rushing yards in six of Detroit’s 11 games. In the last few weeks, we’ve seen opposing RBs post the following stat lines against Chicago:

Tony Pollard: 16 carries for 82 yards
Jonathan Taylor: 21 for 110
Kyren Williams: 19 for 94
Chuba Hubbard: 13 for 97

With arguably the best offensive line in football blocking in front of him, Gibbs seems like a strong candidate to flirt with another 100+ yard rushing performance and one of those John Madden turducken legs.
