Judge launched his 49th home run of the season yesterday and is currently hotter than the surface of the sun. Over the last 30 days, he owns an insane 1.503 OPS and has launched 14 home runs in 94 ABs. With a .512 wOBA at Yankee Stadium in 2024, I will, without any hesitation whatsoever, start my slip here.
Pick #2: Tarik Skubal – Detroit Tigers – Fewer than 4.5 Hits Allowed
Tarik Skubal is poised to strengthen his AL Cy Young candidacy with a highly favorable matchup against the Chicago White Sox. Chicago has struggled throughout the season, owning a league-worst .273 team wOBA. Skubal was dominant against the White Sox was evident in their previous encounter, where he limited them to just three hits in six scoreless innings.
Since the All-Star break, the White Sox have been even more abysmal at the plate, sporting a 25.7% strikeout rate and an ugly .216 team batting average. Skubal has allowed just three hits in each of his last three starts, making him well-positioned to deliver another strong performance tonight.
