Pick #1: Kyle Schwarber – Philadelphia Phillies – More than 0.5 Total Bases
Schwarber has hit a bit of a rough patch, going without a hit in each of his last 4 games. That being said, he has not gone more than 4 games without a hit at any point in the last 2 years. He is facing a division foe that he is familiar with and he has gone over this number 62% of games this season. I love this spot for him to break out.
Pick #2: Tanner Houck – Boston Red Sox – Less than 6 Hits Allowed
Houck has been great for the Red Sox this year, with an ERA of just over 3. This is a great number for him and one that he has gone under 17 of 23 games. He faces the Rangers who had his number a few weeks ago but are hitting just .217 against right-handed pitchers in the last 30 days. Good for 29th in the MLB. I think this sets up great for Houck to cover.
