Pick #1: Corey Seager – Texas Rangers – More than 7.0 Fantasy Points

Seager was held in check last night, but he was locked in at the plate prior. Over the last week, Seager is 12 for 30 over the past week and owns a .384 wOBA and 148 wRC+ against right-handed pitching this season. Today, he’ll step into the batter’s box to battle rookie Michael McGreevy, who will be making his MLB debut this afternoon.

McGreevy has posted a mediocre 4.45 ERA and 1.34 WHIP with the Memphis Red Birds this season, and he’s really struggled with left-handed batters. With the temperatures soaring to nearly 100 degrees, the ball should be flying very well in Busch Stadium. Expect a bounce-back performance from Seager and a sweat-free win here to start this slip.

Pick #2: Gunnar Henderson – Baltimore Orioles – More than 8.0 Fantasy Points

With an ERA north of 5.00 for his career, picking on Paolo Espino has proven to be a profitable endeavor. Espino has served up a whopping 54 HRs in just 261.2 innings in the big leagues, and left-handed batters own a 38.0% hard-hit rate.

This is a perfect setup for Gunnar Henderson. He’s both a beast against right-handed pitching and on the road. Henderson owns a .406 wOBA against right-handers this season and, after picking up a pair of hits last night, will put a six-game hitting streak on the line.
