Ja’Quinden Jackson over 12 fantasy points
Jackson took over the lead back role towards the end of the year last year and went over this in 4 of the last 5 games (only failing against Oregon). Now the coaches have raved about him in camp and have said how they want to feature him. Whether Rising starts or not, he will not be mobile and the Utes will rely on Jackson to carry the ball.
Gabe Ervin under 52.5 rushing yards
Ervin has a tough matchup in week 1 against a very good Minnesota defense. He really struggled last year but has had some buzz in camp. That being said, this is an offense that loves to let its QB run and Ervin is also turnover prone. I like the under here in an early-season slug fest.
Brane Kuithe over 38.5 receiving yards
We will not know if any Utah players will be good to go here until at least warmups as this is a staff notorious for keeping that close to the vest. If he is a full go here, this should be an easy over. Kuithe was the stud TE for Utah last year until tearing his ACL, leaving the door open for Dalton Kincaid to take off and become a 1st round draft pick. He had 105 yards and a TD against Florida last year and has the talent to get it done.
Sean Tyler over 0.5 TDs
This is said to be a new committee running room but that has never been the case under PJ Fleck. The lead back for Minnesota gets TDs and they do it often. Last year, Mo Ibrahim had 20 TDs and 1 in every game except against Wisconsin.
