Russell Westbrook MORE THAN 3.5 Assists
Russell Westbrook has consistently cleared this assist line in 78% of games throughout the season, maintaining an average of just under six assists per contest. During the regular season, he also surpassed this mark in all three of his matchups against the Clippers, showcasing his ability to distribute effectively against this team. While he hasn’t hit the over in the first two games of the series, it’s worth noting that he’s taken on a larger scoring role, which may be skewing his assist numbers temporarily. As the series progresses, I expect Westbrook to shift back into more of a facilitator role. With the law of averages on his side, some positive regression in the assist column seems likely.
OG Anunoby MORE THAN 16.5 Points
OG Anunoby has been on a strong scoring tear, going over this points line in 11 of his last 14 games and hitting the mark in 3 of 5 matchups this season. During that stretch, he’s been averaging an impressive 24+ points per game, showing just how reliable he’s become as an offensive weapon. In a statement Game 1 win, Anunoby was aggressive and assertive, taking significantly more shots than he did in the Game 2 loss. With the team looking to bounce back, I expect him to return to that Game 1 mindset. I really like this spot for him to step up and deliver.
