Willy Adames LESS THAN 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Adames faces a tough challenge today as he goes up against Aaron Nola, a pitcher who’s had his number throughout their past matchups. In 18 career plate appearances against Nola, Adames is still searching for his first hit, managing just two walks in that span. He’s also stayed under this line in 11 of 17 games this season, including six of his last eight. Given the difficult matchup and recent trends, this feels like a strong spot to back the under on Adames.
Mitchell Parker MORE THAN 2.5 Strikeouts (Goblin)
Parker was a consistent performer last season, clearing this line in 24 of 29 starts, and he’s picked up right where he left off — going over it in two of his first three outings this year. He’s averaging 6.13 strikeouts per nine innings and has shown solid durability, pitching at least six innings in all three starts so far. He now draws a favorable matchup against a Pirates lineup that ranks 25th in strikeout rate this season, whiffing at a clip north of 25%. Given the numbers and the opponent, this alternative line looks like a strong value play on today’s slate.
