Michael King MORE THAN 5.5 Strikeouts

King has firmly established himself as the ace of the Padres’ rotation following an impressive 2024 campaign. Last season, he consistently surpassed this mark, going over in 69% of his outings while averaging more than 6.5 strikeouts per game with a strong 28% strikeout rate. Tonight, he finds himself in a highly favorable matchup against the Braves, a team that struggled with strikeouts throughout 2024, averaging over nine per game. Given his dominant form and the opponent’s strikeout tendencies, this sets up as a prime opportunity for King to rack up the K’s once again.

Paul Skenes MORE THAN 5.5 Strikeouts (Goblin)

Paul Skenes was a strikeout machine last season, surpassing this line in 20 of the 22 games in which he pitched at least four innings. In those outings, he averaged an impressive 7.6 strikeouts per game, showcasing his ability to consistently rack up K’s. To kick off the season, he draws a fantastic matchup against the Marlins, a team that struggled with strikeouts in 2024, averaging 8.7 per game. Skenes already proved he can dominate this lineup, recording nine strikeouts in their previous meeting. Given his track record and the favorable opponent, this looks like a great spot for him to start the season strong.
