Ben Simmons LESS THAN 21 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Simmons has been solid on the season, averaging just under 19 points, rebounds, and assists combined, but he has gone under this line 57% of the time, with the line being a push on two occasions. In his upcoming game, he faces a tough challenge against the Knicks, who are one of the top defensive teams in the league. In their two previous matchups this season, Simmons has struggled to hit this line, averaging just 14 P+R+A per game. Given the Knicks’ defensive prowess and Simmons’ difficulty against them so far, this feels like a tough spot for him to break through and surpass this line.
Jimmy Butler LESS THAN 25.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Butler has returned from his suspension for two games now, but it’s clear that he’s not exactly thrilled to be back with the Heat. In those two games, he’s posted 23 and 18 P+R+A, but he also failed to hit this line in the three games leading up to his suspension. While he does have a somewhat favorable matchup here, the situation surrounding his desire to push his way out of Miami makes me lean toward the under. Given his recent lack of engagement and the tension surrounding his future with the team, I’m not expecting Butler to exceed this line in what could be another quiet performance.
