Brandon Nimmo has struggled to clear this number lately, going over it in just one of his last 12 games while posting a woeful .142 wOBA during that stretch. Things don’t get any easier for him today as he faces Trevor Williams, a pitcher he’s historically had trouble against. In their previous matchups, Nimmo is just 1-for-10, with his only hit being a single. Considering both his current cold streak and his lack of success against Williams, I really like the under on Nimmo in this spot.

Adolis Garcia LESS THAN 1.5 Total Bases

Adolis García has stayed under this number in 67% of his games so far this season and faces a tough matchup today. He’ll be going up against JP Sears, a pitcher he’s struggled against historically. In 24 career plate appearances against Sears, García has managed just four hits — all singles — and hasn’t drawn a single walk. Given his track record against Sears and the difficult matchup ahead, I really like taking the under on García in this spot.
