Landen Roupp MORE THAN 5.5 Strikeouts

Landen Roupp has quietly been racking up strikeouts this season, going over this line in three of his four starts while averaging a solid 7.25 Ks per outing. He’ll face a Brewers lineup that does a decent job of putting the ball in play, but still strikes out at a clip north of 20%—leaving the door wide open for Roupp to do some damage. With an eye-popping 11.86 strikeouts per nine innings so far this year, his swing-and-miss stuff is clearly playing. All signs point to another strong strikeout performance—I’m all in on this line.

Corbin Burnes LESS THAN 5.5 Strikeouts

Corbin Burnes hasn’t quite looked like his usual dominant self lately, staying under this strikeout line in each of his last three appearances and recording just 3 Ks in each of those outings. His whiff rate has dipped to a concerning 21%, and his strikeout rate sits at just 18.5% through his first four starts, well below his career norms. Now he faces a disciplined Rays lineup that doesn’t give away many free outs, especially against pitchers who aren’t at their sharpest. Given the recent trends and the matchup, I’m leaning confidently toward the under in this spot.
