Kyle Palmieri LESS THAN 1.5 Shots on Goal

Palmieri has definitely hit a rough patch over the past month. Up until December 15, he was consistently exceeding 2 shots on goal in 23 of 32 games, showing strong offensive production. However, since then, his shooting has dropped off significantly, managing 2 or more shots on goal in just 2 of his last 14 games. To make matters tougher, he faces a Flyers team that’s been stingy defensively, ranking 24th in total shots allowed to opposing right wings, giving up fewer than 5 shots per game. With these trends working against him, it’s been a struggle for Palmieri to regain his earlier form, making this a tough spot for him to get back on track.

Brandon Hagel MORE THAN 2.5 Shots on Goal

Hagel has been consistently exceeding this shots on goal line, hitting it in 63% of his away games this season, and in 8 of his last 10 overall. During this stretch, he’s been averaging more than 4 shots on goal per game, showcasing his ability to stay active and aggressive on the offensive end. Now, he’s got a prime opportunity ahead of him against the Blackhawks, who rank second in the league for most shots allowed to opposing left wings. With this favorable matchup and his recent form, Hagel is in a perfect position to continue his strong shooting and clear this line once again.
