Jayden Daniels MORE THAN 32.5 Passing Attempts
Daniels hasn’t been required to throw the ball excessively this season, but he’s managed to surpass this passing yardage line in two of his last three games. However, the focus here is more on the matchup itself than his overall performance trends. Washington enters this game as 9.5-point underdogs, facing off against one of the most porous pass defenses in the league in Detroit. With the total set at over 55, this game is expected to be a high-scoring affair, which should lead to plenty of passing opportunities for Daniels. Even if the game script doesn’t force him to throw often, the need to keep pace with Detroit’s explosive offense will likely have him airing it out more than usual.
Dalton Schultz MORE THAN 39.5 Receiving Yards
While Schultz’s season hasn’t exactly lived up to expectations, he’s now stepping into a prime opportunity. With rookie tight end Cade Stover suffering a collarbone injury and landing on injured reserve, Schultz is poised to see an uptick in targets. This is especially significant given that the Chiefs’ defense has struggled mightily against tight ends, ranking dead last in the league for yards allowed to the position, giving up over 70 yards per game. To make matters even more favorable for Schultz, Kansas City is likely to focus their efforts on limiting star wide receiver Nico Collins, which could open up even more opportunities for Schultz to step up and make an impact in the passing game. It’s a situation where Schultz has a chance to thrive, and all signs point to him seeing more looks in a favorable matchup.
