Pick #1: Jeremiyah Love – Notre Dame – More than 62.5 Rushing Yards

Jeremiyah Love may only be a sophomore, but he’s been a dynamic force for Notre Dame this season. With 1,057 yards on just 142 carries (7.4 YPC), Love has proven to be one of the most explosive backs in college football. It’s also been reported that he’s finally back to full health, and with head coach Marcus Freeman likely to lean on the ground game, Love is set for a big night.

He’s surpassed 62.5 rushing yards in five of his last six games and has already ripped off four runs of 63+ yards this season, showing his ability to top this number in the blink of an eye. Expect Love to see double-digit carries in a game where Georgia’s defense has been a bit vulnerable to the run, allowing an average of 127.8 rushing yards per game.

Pick #2: Sam Leavitt – Arizona State – Less than 15.75 Fantasy Points

Facing the Texas Longhorns has been a nightmare for opposing quarterbacks this season. QBs are averaging just 11.3 fantasy points per game against Texas, with a mere 156.2 passing yards per game and just seven total touchdowns (compared to 20 interceptions). While Sam Leavitt brings some rushing ability to the table, it’s unlikely to be enough to break through a stout Texas defense.

With Arizona State likely focusing on feeding their star running back, Cameron Skattebo, Leavitt may see fewer than 20 passing attempts (he had just 17 in their Big 12 Championship win over Iowa State). Given the massive stage for a freshman QB and the tough matchup, it’s hard to envision Leavitt surpassing 15.75 fantasy points in this one.
