Diego Pavia MORE THAN 46.5 Rushing Yards
Pavia has consistently demonstrated his ability to move the ball on the ground, and there’s every reason to believe he’ll continue that success in this matchup. Averaging 13 rushing attempts per game this season, he’s racked up over 4 yards per carry, accumulating nearly 60 rushing yards per game. While sacks are always a factor to consider in college football, it’s worth noting that Georgia Tech’s pass rush has been far from formidable, ranking a dismal 126th in the nation according to PFF. Given this, Pavia should have ample opportunity to exceed his rushing yardage total, just as he has in 8 out of 12 games this season. With the defense’s struggles to generate pressure, Pavia is primed to continue his strong ground performance.
Kyle McCord MORE THAN 323.5 Passing Yards
McCord has been exceptional this season for Syracuse, putting up impressive numbers with an average of over 360 passing yards per game. He’s surpassed this yardage mark in 9 of 12 contests, showcasing his consistent ability to air it out. Now, he faces a Washington State team that’s essentially a shadow of its former self, with a significant portion of the roster having transferred out. To make matters worse for the Cougars, they’ll be missing more than half of their defensive starters, including two starting cornerbacks and a starting safety. With such a depleted defense, McCord and the high-powered Syracuse offense should have a field day, poised to exploit the mismatches and put up huge numbers in this favorable matchup.
