Pick #1: Gus Edwards – Los Angeles Chargers – Fewer than 33.5 Rushing Yards

Without J.K. Dobbins, the Los Angeles rushing attack has been basically non-existent. In three starts since Dobbins went down, Edwards has managed just the following:

8 carries, 23 yards against Tampa
10 carrries, 36 yards against Kansas City
6 carries, 32 yards against Atlanta

Now he’s slated to face a top-tier rushing defense in the Denver Broncos, who are allowing just 3.9 yards per carry on the season.
Throw in the fact that Kimani Vidal is starting to carve off significant carries on top of Edwards’ inefficient production, and the bruising RB will likely need to bust a long run to even reach this modest target of 34 yards.

Pick #2: Courtland Sutton – Denver Broncos – More than 62.5 Receiving Yards

Los Angeles has been a solid defensive team this season, but they do rank in the bottom half of the league in passing defense. Meanwhile, Sutton has found his groove with QB Bo Nix, hauling in at least six catches in six of the last seven games. He has topped this 62.5-yard mark in each of those 6+ reception games. While the Chargers did hold him in check on their previous meeting this season, this is a different Denver offense this time around and Sean Payton knows he’ll need a big night from his #1 wideout to pick up an important win at SoFi Stadium this evening.
