Pick #1: Travis Hunter – Colorado Buffaloes – More than 100.5 Receiving Yards

Expecting a 100+ yard performance is a lot to ask, but this looks like a smash spot for Travis Hunter and a great chance for him to lock up the Heisman Trophy potentially. Hunter hauled in 8 catches for 125 yards in last week’s loss to Kansas and will take the field, averaging 7.45 receptions for 94.2 yards per game on the season.

To wrap up the regular season, he has a dream home matchup against the 3-8 Oklahoma State Cowboys. Okie State will enter this game, having surrendered 271.7 passing yards per game this season. That is “good” for the sixth-worst mark in all of FBS. With an implied team total of 41 points (one of the highest on the board Friday) and Colorado desperately needing a victory to have a chance to get into the College Football Playoff, I expect a statement game from Travis Hunter here.

Pick #2: Anthony Hankerson – Oregon State Beavers – Fewer than 77.5 Rushing Yards

Hankerson is having a fine season for the Beavers, but this matchup is far from ideal for the junior Running Back. Boise State is nearly three touchdown favorites this game and will likely be able to run the ball up and down the field all night with their world-class running back Ashton Jeanty. Overlooked a bit by Jeanty’s magical season is how solid this Boise defense has been, particularly against the rush. The Broncos are allowing just 105.7 rushing yards per game this season, the 16th-best in FBS. Their 3.26 yards allowed per rush also ranks as the 16th-best mark in FBS. They are undefeated in Boise, and their only loss of the season was by three points against the Oregon Ducks in Eugene.

Against much weaker competition (for the most part), Hankerson has already failed to reach 78 rushing yards in five games this season. This game has the chance to get away from Oregon State in a hurry, which would make it unlikely for Hankerson to see the 18-20 carries he’ll likely need to sniff 78 rushing yards. There looks to be some value in picking fewer than 77.5 rushing yards.
