Lauri Markkanen LESS THAN 2.5 Assists

Markkanen has consistently fallen short of this number in a staggering 77% of games this season, including in each of his last six outings. His average of just 2.23 assists per game highlights his limited playmaking role. To make matters more challenging, he’s facing off against a tough Spurs defense, which has been suffocating when it comes to limiting assists, ranking as one of the best in the league by allowing the 4th fewest assists per game. Given these factors, it’s hard to see Markkanen having a breakout performance in this matchup, making this a less-than-ideal spot for him to exceed expectations.

Zach LaVine MORE THAN 2.5 3-Pointers Made

LaVine has been on a hot streak lately, surpassing this number in each of his last four games, and he’s been especially prolific from beyond the arc. On the season, he’s averaging a solid number of 3-point attempts, but that figure has skyrocketed to nearly 9 attempts per game over his last 4 outings. To add to the favorable conditions, the Wizards have struggled defensively against the three-ball, ranking in the bottom 25 in the league for most 3-pointers allowed per game, surrendering over 14 per contest. With these trends aligning, this shapes up to be an excellent opportunity for LaVine to continue his recent surge from deep.
