Pick #1: Kareem Hunt – Kansas City Chiefs – More than 13.35 Fantasy Points

The Chiefs should be angry after their first loss of the season last week. This also happens to be one of the best matchups Kareem Hunt is going to see all season. The Carolina Panthers have allowed a horrendous 1339 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns to opposing RBs this season.

Hunt has been held in check in each of the last two weeks, but he’s still averaging 19.9 carries and 72.7 rushing yards per game this season. He’s also added 14 receptions for 116 receiving yards and has found the endzone on seven occasions. This total is set for basically his season average, which does not account for the outstanding matchup. He’s the first player I’ll be adding to my plays.

Pick #2: Bo Nix – Denver Broncos – More than 20.5 Completions

After a rough start in his rookie season, Bo Nix seems to have turned the corner – and done so with a vengeance. Over the last four weeks, he’s averaging 24.25 completions on 33.25 attempts per game. He’s thrown 9 touchdowns versus just one interception in that time span. It’s safe to say he’s quickly gaining Sean Payton’s trust.

This week, Nix will square off against the Chargers for the second time this season. He struggled mightly in the first half of that game and posted just 3 completions for 22 passing yards at the break. However, he started to come alive in the second half and finished the game 19 for 33 for 216 yards. This should be a competitive game in a controlled environment in Los Angeles, and Nix should have plenty of opportunities to sail past this 20.5 completion target.
