AJ Brown MORE THAN 5.5 Receptions
Brown has not had a ton of volume this season, recording 5 or fewer receptions in 5 of the 6 games he’s played, and he’s averaging just 5.4 targets per game over the past 4 weeks, signaling a limited role in the offense. While Washington’s defense has allowed over 11 receptions per game to opposing wide receivers, the Eagles have multiple options in their passing attack, with Devonta Smith stepping up as the team’s leader in targets in 2 of the last 3 games. Given Smith’s increased involvement and Brown’s recent lack of production, the current line for Brown’s receptions seems inflated, making the under an appealing option. With fewer targets and the emergence of other receiving threats, it’s unlikely Brown hits a high reception total in this matchup.
Terry McLaurin MORE THAN 4.5 Receptions
McLaurin has been on a strong run lately, exceeding this reception number in 4 of his last 5 games, and he’s poised for another solid outing tonight. Since Week 2, he’s been a consistent part of the Commanders’ offense, seeing more than 6 targets in all but one game, and he’s averaging just under 7 targets per game overall. With Washington entering tonight’s game as 3.5-point underdogs, they’re likely going to be playing catch-up, which means they’ll need to throw the ball often to stay competitive. Given McLaurin’s prominent role in the passing game and the expected high volume of targets as the Commanders look to keep pace, he should have plenty of opportunities to surpass his target total in this matchup.
