Xzavier Henderson MORE THAN 58.5 Receiving Yards
Henderson has had some ups and downs in Big 12 play this season, but he’s set to capitalize on a fantastic opportunity this week with a prime matchup against a struggling West Virginia pass defense. The Mountaineers have consistently struggled to contain opposing receivers, allowing at least 73 receiving yards to a wideout in every game this year, including against FCS Albany, which speaks volumes about their defensive vulnerabilities. While Henderson’s target volume has been a bit inconsistent, it’s hard to imagine Cincinnati not leaning heavily on him in this matchup. Given West Virginia’s defensive woes, it seems inevitable that Henderson will see plenty of opportunities, making him a prime candidate for a big game.
Elijah Spencer MORE THAN 34.5 Receiving Yards
Spencer has truly come into his own as one of Minnesota’s most reliable targets in the second half of the season. Over the Golden Gophers’ last five games, he’s had at least seven targets in three of those contests, showcasing his growing role in the offense. During that stretch, he’s also averaged over 50 yards per game, proving to be a consistent contributor in the passing game. With Minnesota set to face a Rutgers pass defense that’s been only mediocre at best, this matchup presents a prime opportunity for Spencer to continue his strong play. Given the favorable conditions, this is a great low number for Spencer, who is poised to make an impact.
