Pick #1: Ty Conklin – New York Jets – Fewer than 25.5 Receiving Yards

Conklin is having another fine season for the Jets. However, this does not look like a strong matchup for the tight end. It’s about Panic time for the Jets, and Aaron Rodgers has two massive mouths to feed in this passing game between Davante Adams and Garrett Wilson. That doesn’t even mention his long-time companion Allen Lazard or Breece Hall out of the backfield.

Conklin picked up four catches for 42 yards against the Patriots last week, but he’s only topped this number in three of eight games this season. Tonight, he’ll face a Houston squad that has allowed the third-lowest fantasy points against Tight Ends in the NFL, allowing just 2.6 receptions for 21 yards on average.

Pick #2: Joe Mixon – Houston Texans – More than 82.5 Rushing Yards

Joe Mixon has played in five games this season and was injured and forced out early in their Week 2 win over Chicago. In the four games he’s played throughout, he’s averaged 24.5 carries for 119.5 rushing yards. This isn’t the best matchup, as the Jets have been solid against the rush, but C.J. Stroud’s receiving core is in shambles right now, and DeMeco Ryans looks content to let Mixon carry the workload.

Ignoring the New England game (their rushing game doesn’t really count), Najee Harris rushed for 102 against the Jets two weeks ago. Before that, Ray Davis filled in for Buffalo and rushed for 97 yards. Houston needs a big night from Mixon, and I expect him to deliver.
