Pick #1: Jordan McCloud – Texas State Bobcats – Fewer than 254.5 Passing Yards

This one seems scary on the surface as Texas State enters tonight’s game as 3.5 point favorites in the game with the highest total on the board. However, there are a few things to consider here. First, the weather forecast calls for a windy night in San Marcos, TX – and we know that can affect a passing game. Secondly, McCloud will be facing a Louisiana team that has allowed just 6.06 yards per passing attempt this season, which is easily the best mark in Conference USA.

McCloud is coming off of his worst game as a Bobcat, tossing for just 173 yards on 33 attempts in their last game, a loss to Old Dominion. Texas State will be well served to focus on establishing their running game behind both McCloud and stud RB Ismail Mahdi.

Pick #2: Alejandro Prado – Florida International Panthers – Fewer than 1.5 Field Goals Made

We don’t get to kicker plays often, but it’s a Tuesday night, so anything’s game. Alejandro Prado is a replacement kicker for the Panthers and enters tonight’s game having made just two (of three) field goals all season. Three total attempts in six games as the kicker. And only one attempt beyond 31 yards.

Louisiana has ZERO red zone stops on the season (14 TDs, 4 FGs on 18 opportunities). Florida International is not looking for field goal attempts in this one.
