Pick #1: Russell Wilson – Pittsburgh Steelers – Fewer than 0.5 Interceptions

Wilson made his debut with Pittsburgh last week, and looked better than many expected. He led Pittsburgh to a 37-15 win over the New York Jets. More importantly for this play, he took care of the football and did not throw an interception. Wilson has thrown 106 INTs in 189 games during his career; with only 25 of those coming in 45 games since the 2021 season.

Monday night, on primetime, he will face a New York Giants defense that has only managed one single interception this season. Pittsburgh will look to rely heavily on its ground game once again with Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren, who combined for 33 carries last week. As 6-point favorites against a New York squad that has allowed 139 rushing yards per game, Wilson’s main priority should be taking care of the football once again when he is asked to put it in the air.

Pick #2: Theo Johnson – New York Giants – Fewer than 1.5 Receptions

Malik Nabers is back, and Wan’Dale Robinson is establishing himself as a secondary weapon for Daniel Jones; there’s not much left on the table for the other pass catchers. Throw in Darius Slayton getting a healthy dose of targets the last month, and Theo Johnson might not even see two balls thrown his way, yet alone snag a pair of receptions.

Johnson didn’t see a single target in their 28-3 loss to Philly last week and has only picked up 2+ receptions in two of seven games this season. Both of those games happened to coincide with Naber’s watching from the sidelines. The big tight end has flashed talent at times this season, but I’m concerned the opportunity just won’t be there once again.
