Pick #1: Eli Stowers – Vanderbilt Commodores – More than 39.5 Receiving Yards

Vanderbilt has already shocked the CFB once this season, and if they have any hope of doing it again and taking down the Longhorns, they’ll need a big performance from Diego Pavia and the passing attack.

Eli Stowers has emerged as Pavia’s safety blanket. The senior tight-end has now racked up 33 receptions and 463 receiving yards this season. If you throw out a full donut against the Kentucky Wildcats and a one-reception game in a massive blowout over Alcorn State, he’s averaging 6.4 receptions for 91.2 yards in the other five games. Stowers torched Alabama for 113 yards in that first upset and I expect Vandy to keep this, at the very least, competitive enough throughout 3+ quarters. This 39.5 yard target seems far too low.

Pick #2: Jovantae Barnes – Oklahoma Sooners – Fewer than 54.5 Rushing Yards

This game just flat-out does not set up well for the Sooner’s ground game. They enter Oxford as 19-point underdogs and will face an Ole Miss defense that has allowed the nation’s fewest rushing yards against, just 66.6 yards per game.

Barnes may be Oklahoma’s main back, but he has averaged just 43.9 rushing yards per game this season. He has been an absolute non-factor against the other “big boys” OU has played (50 total rushing yards in two games against Texas and Tennessee). Without busting a long run, Brent Venables will be hard-pressed to rely on his rushing game and may quickly need to turn to the air to keep pace with the Rebel’s potent offense, making this a tough goal for Barnes to reach.
