Pick #1: Riley Greene – Detroit Tigers – More than 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs

Riley Greene had been on fire leading up to the break, boasting an impressive .380 average and 1.086 OPS (.462 wOBA) in July. His performance against right-handed pitchers has been particularly solid, as he sports a .394 wOBA this season against them. Yusei Kikuchi, who has struggled against righties, has allowed the second-most hits in the American League this year. Given this favorable matchup, I’m backing Greene’s hot streak and expecting him to exceed 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs in this game.

Pick #2: Framber Valdez – Houston Astros – More than 4.5 Strikeouts

Valdez delivered an exceptional performance in his last start before the break, allowing just two hits and striking out 10 batters over seven scoreless innings against the Marlins. Framber has recorded 5+ strikeouts in five of his last seven outings. Tonight, he faces Seattle, which has the highest strikeout rate in MLB at 28.1%.

Valdez has found his groove as the season has progressed, posting a 3.02 ERA over eight starts since the beginning of June. During that stretch, he is averaging 6.1 innings of work. With the favorable park shift also in his favor, this line looks exploitable tonight.
