Pick #1: Matt Olson – Atlanta Braves – More than 1.5 Hits, Runs, RBIs

While Vasquez has pitched rather well lately, no one in MLB has been hit harder by left-handed batters than this San Diego Starter. Lefties now own a .491 wOBA and a .431 batting average against Vasquez. Matt Olson is still looking to recapture his 2023 form at the plate, but this looks like a potential “get right” spot former MVP candidate. Olson owns a .371 wOBA and .270 ISO against right-handers in his career and I expect him to break through this afternoon.

Pick #2: Miles Mikolas – St. Louis Cardinals – More that 5.5 Hits Allows

Aside from a couple of blow-up outings this season, Miles Mikolas has actually pitched well for the surging St. Louis Cardinals. With that said, his 86.1% contact rate is the highest mark among all qualified pitchers and this Chicago team is very familiar with the right-hander. With these two playing a double-header yesterday, Oli Marmol will likely be looking to get Mikolas as deep as possible into this game even with the ASB looming. Mikolas owns a 6.18 ERA in eight starts at Busch Stadium this season and has coughed up 6+ hits in 11 of his 19 starts.
