Pick #1: Christian Yelich – Milwaukee Brewers – More than 8.0 Hitter Fantasy Points

Jackson Rutledge will make his first start of the season and it’s hard to justify his call-up right now. The right-hander has posted a 6.66 ERA and 1.65 WHIP over 71.2 innings at the AAA level in 2024. Meanwhile, Christian Yelich looks to slowly be getting back to his former MVP form. Yelich is batting .424 with a 1.375 OPS during the month of July, including 7 extra base hits and three stolen bases in those nine games. He is hitting .375 with a .985 OPS at Miller Park this season and continues to hammer right-handed pitching. Yelich should have a monster day to start the final series before the All-Star Break.

Pick #2: Taj Bradley – Tampa Bay Rays – More than 5.5 Strikeouts

Bradley has been nearly unhittable at “The Trop”. In seven home starts, the 23-year-old owns a 1.76 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and has piled up 60 strikeouts in just 41 innings. To make things more intriguing, his 13.21 K/9 against left-handed batters is the highest mark in MLB among all qualified pitchers and he’ll square off against a Cleveland squad stocked with southpaws (Naylor, Gimenez, Brennan, and Kwan to name a few). Cleveland doesn’t strike out often, but this total seems to undervalue the numbers Bradley has been compiling.
