Aaron Judge – New York Yankees – Over 1.5 Total Bases
Andrew Abbott has pitched admirably this season, but when he gets into trouble, it’s typically due to the long ball as his 49.6 fly-ball rate is troubling and has resulted in 16 home runs served all ready this season. Now, throw in a visit to Yankees Stadium and things get really scary for the southpaw. Meanwhile, Aaron Judge posted his 4th straight multi-hit game last night against this Cincinnati team and an absolutely ridiculous .495 wOBA against left-handed pitching in 2024.
Christian Yelich – Milwaukee Brewers – Over 1.5 Total Bases
We have Coors Field to work with this evening, and Yelich is my favorite play from this game. Yelich owns a 153 wRC+ against right-handed pitching this season and draws a matchup against the very hittable Dakota Hudson tonight. Hudson clearly does not enjoy the thin air of Denver as he’s posted an 0-5 record with a 8.58 ERA and 2.13 WHIP in eight home starts to start the 2024 season. Say what you will about BvsP stats, but Yelich has reached base 13 times in 20 previous plate appearances against Hudson, including two doubles and a pair of home runs.
